Origin & Story

Aurelion was forged, quite literally, in the Sunforge Cathedral — a bloodline of paladins who fold molten gold into their own armor as a rite of passage, letting the metal cool around them rather than being fitted afterward.He serves as the setting's clearest counterweight to the Ashen Covenant's shade-magic: where they hide, he announces himself, believing that a threat seen coming is a threat half-defeated.Players first meet him holding a collapsing bridge of light alongside Seraphine — a deliberate visual echo that ties the two lead allies together before a word of dialogue is spoken.

Aurelion needed to read as unmistakably safe from a distance and unmistakably dangerous up close, so the gold isn't decorative — every plate is load-bearing armor first, ornament second. The emissive rune-lines were the hardest part to get right: too bright and he becomes a light source instead of a character, too dim and the "glows in combat" concept disappears entirely. The final version only ignites at the edges, so his silhouette stays readable even at full brightness.
